The pope asked twice about this – it must be very important to him to have Our Lady of Fatima involved. Wow.

About Kristen West Mcguire

I'm a wife and mom. Sometimes I work, and sometimes I homeschool and sometimes I just meddle, Although I worked at a military chapel for a few years and even taught CCD, most of my life I have been just a pew-sitting, kid-shushing Catholic mom. Since my conversion in 1992, I've been propositioned to join Opus Dei, Regnum Christi, the Neocatechumenal Way, Cum Christo (at least I think that is what Ultreya meant), and at least a few third orders, I just don't go for that extra stuff. I'm a Plain Jane Catholic.

  1. I love this pope. I love him with all my heart. I feel like he’s reached into the very core and soul of who I am, who we are, as Catholics, as faithful, struggling people, who are filled with humanity and love and he’s brought us out to the open and said, “You are loved! You are full of grace! You are full of everything that Jesus asked you to be full of and in your humanity and in all your struggles, you personify what it is to be. Keep going! Keep loving! Keep being human and know that you are so very loved by your God, your creator”. In one month, he has brought hope and love and humanity back to the earth in a very big and real way. And because of this, because he is openly preaching the true message of Jesus, I fear for him. Let’s send as much love right back to him and let’s remember to keep our beloved Pope Francis in our daily prayers, because even though the message of Jesus is so very needed and so very welcome, we know what history has taught us about the crowd turning suddenly. God bless our Pope and my he be kept close to the Sacred Heart and covered by the mantle of Our Lady.

    • Thank you so much for posting this – you are so right and I am amazed and humbled by the response fo so many Catholics! They all seem to recognize the remarkable qualities of our new pope! We are so blessed indeed. I love what you said here!
